OCTOPLUS Dental Needles – Precision, Comfort and Clinical Versatility
OCTOPLUS dental needles are designed to provide smoother, safer and more effective injections, adapting to the different anaesthetic techniques used in daily clinical practice. This is one single base product, available in multiple functional variants, differentiated by colour, gauge and length, allowing clinicians to choose the most suitable option for each procedure.
All OCTOPLUS needles are gamma radiation sterilised, individually sealed and siliconised for single use, in compliance with ISO 11137-1:2006. The plastic hub features a triangular indicator showing the bevel position, ensuring greater control and precision during injection. They are compatible with European thread dental syringes and comply with EN ISO 7885:2010.
A key distinguishing feature of OCTOPLUS needles is their optimised internal diameter. While the external diameter matches that of a standard needle, the internal diameter has been specially engineered to allow the same dose of anaesthetic to be delivered with lower injection pressure, improving patient comfort and enabling a smoother, more controlled injection.
The plastic components – transparent cap, coloured transparent protective case and white internal holder – are manufactured from polypropylene. The stainless steel cannula is secured using an epoxy resin adhesive based on epichlorohydrin and bisphenol A, ensuring structural strength and reliability.
The protective case can also be used as an aid for positioning the needle onto the syringe, enhancing safety during preparation.
